What you composed was very logical. However, what about this? suppose you composed a catchier post title? I ain't suggesting your information is not good, but what if you added something that makes people want more? I mean %BLOG_TITLE% is a little boring. You could look at Yahoo's front page and see how they create article headlines to grab people interested. You might try adding a video or a pic or two to get readers interested about everything've written. Just my opinion, it would bring your website a little bit more interesting.
